Illusory and Airy in Appearance / Structurally Sound

Though transparent Color Field Sculpture appears to be "airy", illusory and chromatic, industrial materials offer the structural strength and durability to withstand interactions with the public.

Multiple layers of heavy gauge perforated aluminum are rolled, bent or folded by powerful presses as the sculptural concept emerges.

Permanent powder coated color is electrostatically applied to each component.

Versatile metal allows for flexibility in meeting design requirements.

Individual vibrant sheers play in the light to redefine public spaces, landscapes, atriums, cityscapes and private gardens as installations indoors or out, anchored or hanging, are created in any palette, shape or size, bounded only by the specifics of the site.

Magical Transparencies

Created from heavy gauge industrial materials and able to withstand outdoor weather conditions, Color Field Sculpture paradoxically becomes transparent when imbued with light!  Ethereal in appearance, prismatic patterns emerge through overlapping forms.

'Color Field Sculpture with Blues' by Shelley Parriott

Viewers got into the spirit of the evening!

Shelley Parriott's ten foot high, Color Field Sculpture with Blues, describes 'the transitory nature of form' as overlapping sheers seem to appear and disappear one behind the other.  Prismatic patterns of color and light are airy and illusory, yet the sculpture is structurally sound.

A large crowd assembled for the opening of "Blue", an exhibition at an expansive new gallery space in Saugerties, NY.   www.TheGalleryatheFactory.com
