Shelley Parriott - Harlem Art Walking Tour NYC 2012

Shelley Parriott is delighted to have been invited by Ultima Gallery to exhibit Color Field Sculpture as part of the Harlem Art Walking Tour 2012.

Diane Eamtrakul, director, had Color Field Sculpture with Yellows installed outside the gallery for this special event in the Mount Morris Historical District, Harlem, NYC.

Indoors, she placed Parriott's "tangible/intangible" transparent Color Field Sculpture/ Warm Hues, beside her own extensive collection of antique Southeast Asian Buddha statues.

Sheer and mysterious Color Field with Blues was tranquil in subtle light.

One wall in the gallery displayed large original drawings by Project Runway designers including Christian Siriano, Austin Scarlett and Carolina Herrera.

Milton Avery's artist's proof was Blue Nude. Works by Ashit Kumar Mitra, Juan Calderon, Arkom Daungchawna and Richard Davis were shown, as well as others.

The rain in NYC didn't dampen the spirits of attendees.
