Color Field Sculpture™ Installation: Warm Hues
As light passes through the transparency of the sculpture, the atmosphere shifts; shapes that at first glance appear to be solid and corporeal now elude definition.
OPENING: May 21, 2016 2:30 pm New sculpture garden in High Falls at the
High Falls Emporium. Free food and live music by Sara Hulse Band. Come and cheer 11 artists and their awesome works displayed outdoors for the enjoyment of all at all times.

From Solid to Sheer - Material - Immaterial
In a painterly approach to sculpture overlapping sheers of powder coated perforated aluminum are imbued with light. Airy, chromatic forms seem to appear - disappear - reappear - transform from solid to transparent - and create constantly changing patterns as the illusory sculpture interacts with the environment.

Shelley Parriott views sculptural installation by Judy Pfaff and recalls previous exhibition
Years ago, I was honored to be selected by Judy Pfaff, renowned artist and curator of the exhibition, to be included in the Kingston Sculpture Biennial, Kingston , NY
It was inspiring to exhibit work with such luminaries as Ursula von Rydingsvard, Sol LeWitt, Mark di Suvero and others. Pfaff, of course, has received the highest honors and awards available to artists.
This June, it was exciting to view Judy Pfaff's dynamic work via an event arranged by the Byrdcliffe Art Colony, Woodstock , NY

Color Field Sculpture - Shelley Parriott - Yonkers, New York, Waterfront Park
Hudson Park, along the riverfront in Yonkers, NY, is a vibrant area.
Pedestrians enjoy walking, fishing … and interacting with sculpture. Our site is on the riverfront close to the “Science Barge”, visible from “X20 Xaviars” restaurant and the sculpture by Boaz Vaadia. The Hudson can be seen through the transparencies of Color Field Sculpture.
Thanks to the staff from the city of Yonkers, The Blue Door Artist Association, Luis Perelman, Director, for inviting us, art installer Todd Brannon, as well as Robert Naccarato for his help with the installation.
Color Field Sculpture is seen to the north of Boaz Vaadia figures.
Young visitor literally gets into the sculpture.

The Javits Center is not seen specifically as an art venue. But the lure of the city drew us in and we participated in the Contemporary Art Fair.

a place for calm introspection as illusory colors become transparent in changing light … But at The Javits Center in New York City edgy passersby were in a playful mood…..
An artist stopped in his tracks!
Andy Golub's colorful painted people, having been on the David Letterman in August, suddenly appeared at The Javits … out of the ordinary
… how could they resist chromatic shapes?
Photographer Marisa Arvonio focused in on the painterly quality and patterns created by overlapping transparencies.
We met fine artists, artisans, and international viewers.
