Large-scale, site-specific 'Color Field Sculpture'

Created by Shelley Parriott for Linden Park - private collection
Indianapolis, Indiana.

Eighteen feet high and twenty-five feet wide, the transparent installation shown below is designed to rise above tall seasonal prairie grass and drifts of wind blown snow that will eventually surround the sculpture.

Monumental in scale and visual impact, yet illusory, sheer columns create an airy appearance not usually associated with outdoor sculpture. Imbued with light, overlapping patterns play in the changing atmosphere.

Thanks to Jason Myers, installation director and photographer in Indianapolis.
